The Monarch Program

During the weekdays from April through November we sponsor field trips. On Saturdays, we are open to the public from 11:00 AM - 3:00 PM, or by appointment (including the winter months). In the summer, we are open to the public on Thursday, Friday, and Saturday. When the public visits, we have interpretative specialists to answer questions, show videos, and give brief guided tours. Cash or check accepted. Admission is $6.00 adult, $5.00 teens and seniors, $4.00 children 4 - 12. 3 and under is free. All proceeds are considered a donation to the organization.

If you have not taken advantage of the free Tuesdays, Gosh Dangit, GO And DO IT!

They are awesome.

We love to make it there around noon and do a picnic in the Gardens or by the reflection pools. Then we're off to the museums. My kiddo is exhausted by the end (which is hard to do because he never seems to run out of energy) and sleeps the whole way home and then some.

Our first meetups

I am excited that we had such great attendance at our first two meetups. We talked about our birthstories and why we have chosen to take the path of intuitive parenting.

Several of us are reading Continuum Concept for next months meeting. Those that have read it will share their thoughts and insights while the rest of us can enjoy hearing their perspectives and ask any questions we may have.

What we're about

Our AP Moms group is for women who are interested in Attachment Parenting practices such as natural/safe birth, breastfeeding, child-led weaning, cosleeping, cloth diapering, elimination communication (EC), no or slow vaccines and positive/gentle discipline to name a few.
